thank you for ur great help sir , i am more respect than your words

Which red lamp - the open door lights?

If that's the case, then either you've shorted them on constantly or the door thinks it's open...

Sorry pal, just trying to be funny, im unsure of after market stuff. However I hope you get it sorted.

no sir , do you the blinking red lamp when the door locked ? it doesn't work

the octavia 1 does have that, mine also locks itself 30 seconds after i have unlocked it, if the doors haven't been opened.

yes my old central locking kit have that ,but when i purchased that in the link above & installed it , it doesn't lock after 30 seconds & also the small red lamp in the driver door doesn't blink ???

do u have an idea about that ?

Could be its an aftermarket kit so this doesn't work. Check the light has power going to it after locking.

thank you my friend , i wish i have an accurate answer for these two problems

i think maybe perhaps if red light not blinking the red oyster will on every day

or try vcds if you can get hold of it

the octavia 1 does have that, mine also locks itself 30 seconds after i have unlocked it, if the doors haven't been opened.

Mine has developed the habit where even when ive sat into the driver seat, if i havnt turned the key within 30 sec, it relocks with me and the keys inside...

To the OP,

It says on the spec:

  • Space inside the remote for your own transponder (chip)! (i.e. If your existing key has chip inside, you can transfer the chip into our remotes! and save 100’s £££).

If the car isnt picking up the original car key remote chip, because the aftermarket kit has bypassed the on board system, when you lock the car via the new kit, the car wont detect it as being locked, thus the red light wont start blinking. As far the computer is concerned, the car isnt locked. thats why it wont relock after 30 secs either. unless there is a way of setting up the aftermarket gear to do that, then its probably something you will just have to live with, or get onto the supplier of the kit for help.

i have just fixed the problem the red blinking lamp was not connected to its wire,so the specialist connect it,but my only question is there is memory to close the car after a specific time ???

For the answer to question 1, it depends how the kit is connected. The car computer has 2 different signals to make it unlock. One is from the factory remote control (receiver built into the computer), and the second is from a switch in the drivers door lock. The 30 second re-lock feature will only work if the car is unlocked using the factory remote control. It won't work if you turn the key in the lock.

I think the kit is wired so that it reproduces the signal that the doorlock switch would send. Because of this, the car thinks the doors have been unlocked manually, so won't re-lock the doors after 30 seconds.

Hopefully that makes sense to you.
