im looking at another 25mm lowing so i think im looking for 55mm lowering is this right?

The Eibach springs I've just had fitted lower the standard car by up to 32mm and a Vrs by up to 20mm.

Quick bit of maths makes that a difference of 12mm between the standard and the Vrs standard set up.

There is logic in there, but I have no other evidence than that.

so if i get 40mm lowering springs it shoud drop my vrs 25mm?

Look for a set of lowering springs that are stated as being suitable for the Vrs and they should tell you how much it will lower it. You don't need to worry about how much lower the standard set up is compared to the Vrs (unless you are interested).

I believe there may be more than one type of Eibach spring for the Octavia (Sportline & Pro Kit), but I know mine are suitable for both vehicles and lower them as stated above.

If yours is an estate, there is a set of Eibachs on eBay from Caffyns for £80 + £12 postage (that's where I got mine from - very helpful: for a Peugeot dealer!) that will lower the Vrs estate by up to 20mm over it's normal ride height (only 5 mm off your desired drop).

Eibach only make a "pro" kit for the octavia, IIRC listed as a 30mm drop, so on a vRS you'd get a 15mm ride height reduction.

im in germay and have found some springs for stanard octavia with a 50 front 40mm rear drop so with the new 55mm dia front struts im going to order it should sit ok thanks for the help

having a look on german ebay found some shocks for the front with 55mm dia how ever cant find or be sure about the springs iv been looking at as the say the end pig tail is 49.7mm which wont sit on the struy properly so for 40 euros more im going for some german coilover that say there fit my vrs and i have full adjustment. just need to know how long the bar is (bought adjustable 1s) from the anti roll bar to the strut should be or how u set it up?
