Hi All

Help...

I need some help sourcing a "Dash Insert" Part number: 1Z0920 942D KD0, can anybody help?

Why...

For some reason I just started to get the infamous 3 beeps!!... This normally happens a couple of miles down the road... the only way to reset it to re-start the car (Clutch down while travelling works)... But then a couple more miles... beep beep beep!!!.. Grrr

Diagnosis....

Today i took the car into a Skoda main dealer... they say i need the above part !!!.

Full Symtoms when the Fault occurs...

My '54 reg Octavia 2 litre TDI (Newer shape Elegance) are:

3 Beeps from the dash...

Speedo drops and stays on 0 MPH !!!...

Power Steering light comes on, and steering heavy, but drivable

Aircon blows but no longer cools...

ABS fault light comes on...

Traction Control light comes on...

Cruise control stops working and will not set back on....

Petrol Gauge sloshes around when cornering and dings as if empty...

All settings of delayed windscreen wiper are all the same delay time...

Help Required...

Skoda part cost - rediculous... but dealership did suggest Ebay or a scrap yard... then they can reprogram new unit

Can anyone help source the above part ?

After dropping a wodge on the Outback for a new battery only for the tailgate issues to immediately recur and funnily enough for a internet search to suddenly (wasn't before) flag that there is a persistent and long standing Subaru issue with a parasitic battery drain via the telematics module. Hello, I activated Smart Link on my swing 3 radio, at Skoda Octavia mk3 MY 2018, so I want to share with everyone how it can be done. DISCLAIMER: You do it at your rensponsability, is not easy to do, and you can mess things out, possible brick you device. Do it only if you have expereince in this kind of activity. Physical tools needed: Tool for removing radio 4 pieces, just google "VAG radio removal tool", cost about 1€. CH341A Mini Programmer, cost about 10€. PC/Laptop Philips screwdriver

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get
