Poorboys white Diamond or autoglym srp

Featured Replies

What do you think is best out of the 2 ? On a silver car :)

I use white diamond on my MX5 and it certainly gets that looking nice.

That's silver by the way.

I've always sworn by SRP personally, but I've no experience of white diamond. And I've only ever used it on dark coloured cars.

I'd go for white diamond on a silver car it really does bring the car up a treat

What about Auto Finesse Tripple ?

Similar to both of those products, i've got a bottle here and had great results.

Poorboys White Diamond is a Glaze..Glazes have fillers and gloss enhancers..They are not designed to be a final stage product like a sealer and wax (LSP)

AGSRP is a polish and sealer in one (AIO)..It cleans then fills scratches, then leaves a film of protection behind..so could be an LSP

I would polish the car..Then Glaze..Then wax ...that way you have the best of both + the added protection of wax

AG SRP doesn't last very long on its own, even though it's a AIO. Best to go over it with AG EGP (Extra Gloss Protection) which is a sealant designed to bodn with SRP, then it's pretty hardy.

I find that the durability and reflectivity of AG EGP is poor compared to a Carnauba Based Wax

Agreed, even a single coat of 476s in better that EGP i've found.

476S lasts better than EGP but it's harder to apply. EGP doesn't really work that well away from an SRP base coat anyway. However for a silver car, I would recommend FK1000P as the default go-to sealant/long lasting wax. Many people report better results with FK1000P versus 476S on light colours.
