Bolero: Octy & Superb versions, the difference in pictures

Featured Replies

Just as a guide as this question seems to be asked every now and then, below are images to show the difference is shape between a Superb Bolero headunit and an Octavia Bolero headunit. It appears that they changed the design of the SUperb unit at some point, but hopefully one can see the difference between the three units.

Nice one - did you also notice that the old superb one has a light sensor built in to the unit to control the screen brightness, whereas the Octy one you have pictured (which at a guess came out of a FL) doesn't. Older Octy ones did have a light sensor.

I had issues with the backlight on a pre-FL car with a Delphi manufactured Bolero which didn't have a light sensor. To get the backlight to come on I had to turn the headlights on and off!
