Are you using a standard airbox / filter?

The standard airbox silences most of the DV activity.

It will be audiable to people outside of the vehicle *just*.

A replacement panel filter will aid it's sound, where as a cold air feed will amplify it. Hope this helps.

does it have to be positioned at a particular angle? as it seems to be a taller fit than the origional

You can "wiggle" it and it should fit under the cover. They are larger than the OEM ones for sure.

No particular angle, it is possible to reverse fit them, little or no odds in that, but if the top is pointing skywards it should be okay.

Where did you source the DV from?

Depending on where you are, take a look at the partners forum. We have tuners north to south that can help (assumes UK), if not the place that sold the DV should have or be able to get a.n.other panel filter or CAI.

It is taller. You need a right angle adaptor for it as below and the plastic engine cover will then fit.

Where can you get the right angle adaptors from?

I recognise that pic....nice car. ;)

You need to right angled connector for top connection then the engine cover will sit down as per standard.

Connector isn't that expensive...a couple of quid I think.....talk to Jabba the deffo have them.

Bailey will give you a little more noise but not that'll be noticeable outside the car....you need a CAI for max "pstsssh".

But also be aware that a CAI will give more induction noise.

I have just been to Jabba, i should have got a Bailey while i was there... :(

Phone Bailey up direct, they will send you one FOC :D

I have a Bailey and a Green cotton filter and the noise is louder than standard but not excessively loud. Nice noise though!

Me too, till I sold the car :D

there is also a relocation kit to move it so its closer to the turbo.
