Might be a while yet before I can afford to put a LSD on my car but thought it would be more worthwhile on a 6 speed box.

Is there anything else extra needed to switch the vRS 5 speed to a Cupra 6 speed? apart from the actual boxes...

Would imagine the Fabia vRS gearknob fits to keep it looking standard

Unless your running big power not really much point as it has same top speed as 5 cog box, i looked into this when my clutch died but decided against as a smf for 6 speed box is not off the shelf vw part like 5 speed box,

You also need cables, linkages, gearbox mount, driveshafts, clutch and flywheel aswell as box itself,

And starter motor, pretty much everything that 'touches' the gearbox.

ongoing parts replacement will be a nightmare, no more going into unipart and giving your reg, anything attached will have to be done from memory

As above, it's a sodd!ng tight fit too!!

And yes, Fabia vRS gear knob fits - that's exactly what I've done!!

I always wonder why people say there's no point. It all depends on what you want. It's one way to get quicker acceleration without doing radical engine mods (although increased gearchanges admittedly, but no different to what it would be like in the Cupra) and in all honesty, who the hell needs to go faster than the 147mph supposed top speed anyway.

But apart from that, it will be a complete pain in the arse...

Big pain in the arse for not much point when you only have <350bhp ish so long as its got a ATB in it youll be fine. I was thinking of getting Missingmyvrs 6 speed and selling my quaiffe EHA box but tbh Ill never have more than 300sih in her so wont need it.
