Ripped interior trim

Featured Replies

Hi - I'm a bit clueless when it comes to car repair. My 4 year old ripped a hole in the door trim - so white foam showing the panel above the door handle but below the window - in the drivers door.

is it easy to fix replace this section? How much do you think it would cost? I've contacted two local dealers bit wouldn't have a clue if i was being ripped off or not!

Any help /advice would be gratefully received.

Cheers.

That part also bubbles up from leaning on it too, mine was same but just covered it with an elbo pad in black.

New panel is nearly 400 pounds :(

What year is ur car?

cheapest option would be to get a 2nd hand panel from the scrap yard

As above this panel is a 'high wear point' from those who rest their elbow on the window sill so has been covered on here quite a bit.

It can't be replaced as a single part, you'll need a whole door card which makes it an expensive fix.

You could take it to a re trimmer and get both sides re trimmed in some matching leather or similar?

Thanks for the answers - i am much obliged for - if not encouraged by the responses.

Yes new or used door card is the way to go , and remove sharp objects from your 4 year old :bandit:
