Was just driving along in my vrs and then there was a big loud pop, not the car wont acceralate, pumps out gallons of smoke and is very noisy and stuttery!

Currenty stopped in a lay by!

What could it be? Turbo? Turbo leak?

Check all boost hoses and vacuum hoses.

But it could be the turbo that has failed. Can you remove the hose from the turbo and feel for the spindle? Wait until the turbo has cooled down though.

If the smoke is black 5p says its a boost pipe poped off and another 5p says its the lower pipe from the intercooler

Just checked under the car and its the bottom intercooler pipe beside the drivers side front wheel!

Now what clips etc do i need to sort it?

Should just push back in. It can be tricky but will go in. There are sort of locating lugs that line up and with some pressure should clip back in. Mine has done it 3 times, last time i got a large jubilee clip over the standard spring clip to try stop it releasing. Some people use self tappers.

I pushed it bk in but it wouldnt stay! Ive got a big jubilee clip sumwhere and will use 12mm self tappers aswell! Thanks for all your help buddy! Al paypal that 10p over to u

Yer just give a good push holding the intercooler and pipe, the spring clip might need to be moved about. Haha cheers mate
