Having previously owned a Golf mk4 GtTDI 130, and just traded in a Jetta Sport 140 DSG & a Fox 1.2 Urban. We wanted a bit more power! It was a reluctant wife who had to be persuaded to go to the Skoda garage to see the car in question, she really wasn't having any of it - "I can't drive a Skoda, what will my Dad say" came her woeful cries. Until we got there and she sat in it, I thought I'd have to do more persuading, or even drive to VW and Seat only to discount their offerings and then win her round to the better Skoda. But I was dumb struck she sat in the drivers seat (I will explain why in a minute) and bloody loved the thing. It happened to be the right colour and had all the right extras. I knew she was tempted. We stepped in to the showroom and asked for a test drive, only she could drive (I will explain). So we took it out and she loved it, there was nothing for me to persuade. If only everything in life was as easy a decision as this Skoda. We went back into the showroom and bought the car there and then, well we traded in our two cars, (I will get to it) and added some cash. So happy, unfortunately (I said I would get to it) in need of a chauffeur as I have damaged my hand and can't drive for 3 months, no wonder she's over the moon, with the fantastic car! I've cut through the tendon and it has been reattached. See the pic below.

and hell yeah on the car I've done 30k in my vRS so far and it rocks !

if its brand new, dont baby it when running in , and keep your eye on the oil!

Welcome to the forum, and i am sure the car will be a joy.

(trying to refrain from the oldest joke in Industry when someone looses a finger, so i will not ask,
