Featured Replies

right lads and lasses, another thread about the above.

i have been serchin the forum for a few days about the removal of the sai,n249 and n112 valves but theres lots of info and am not sure what to do for the best now.

i plan to do the removal me self and then decat the exhasut system , but unsure wether to use the resistors thats been mentioned in other threads heard that they can catch fire and blow up and dont what that happenin to my car

got the blanking plate and also have a ebay code reader that can turn off the engine light on me m8s cupra r so it should be okay on the vrs.

will also be gettin a remap of some sort so could always get the lights mapped out etc

any 1 with first hand experince , help would be greatly appreacted as i would like to get this done this weekend

cheers and thanks

Mine hasn't caught fire yet :)

the only things i havent got is the resistors , do i need them or not , , cars just passed its mot so i dont have to worry about the eml for another 12months

Mine never caught fire but my resistor in the SAI connector was blown when i removed it,

I now have a remap with SAI, N249, N112 and second lamba probe mapped out so now just have connectors taped back to loom nice and tidy,

Cost me a extra 50 quid from shark when i had it remapped i think
