Help, i am replacing all the dash lights in my car. Have been very unsuccessful so far. I have removed all of the switches from the door pannels and stripped them down. ( fired a couple ball bearings accross the floor in doing so). They have a kind of flat square LED in side them. It is kind of like the type you would find on a computer motherboard. Anyway, is there anyone out there that knows what this type of LED is called, i am trying to find them on the net but its not easy when you dont have a name to search with.

They are called surface mounted LED's mate. You can pick them up easily from Maplins, RS etc
