Low Fuel level!

Featured Replies

Today I ran the fuel level down to the last couple of pints and the MFD said 'Range 15miles'.

Performance seemed to be a bit sluggish and not as much acceleration but still running smoothly.

After filling up the difference was so vast, so I am just wondering if they go into some sort of ecconomy status when it gets down to the last 20 miles.

Has anybody else noticed this?

By the way It's a 1.2 tsi,

errrr.....no

I have run mine down to range 0 and beyond in the past with no noticeable loss of performance, only my right foot so I could make it to the next Shell garage

I rarely fill up until several miles after the refuel light comes on. I seem to remember performance was better because the tank was empty = less weight..... = better fuel economy....

We always fill up just after the light comes on as it's too risky to let diesel these days run completely out of fuel our loacal Vag group specialist said he had a blue motion golf in for fuel re-bleed repair and ended up costing over grand on repairs as lots of the fuel system needed to be replaced.

And these guys do not rip you off they only do work that's required and inform you all before it happens
