Does anyone know whether the Fabia vRS has a particulate filter? The reason I ask is because these appear to be incredibly expensive (

They are not mentioned on the service schedule and, like you say, apply more to Euro IV engines. I think NO is the answer

They have been fitted to the VW Passat 2.0 TDi 6-speed for some time and will be available for retrofit to VW vehicles later this year. See below:
