Thought i'd just introduce myself, and what i have recently purchased.... So i picked up my Octavia (2.0tdi 170bhp) yesterday, then proceeded to drive 440 miles home and averaged 49.5mpg :). I thoroughly enjoyed the drive home, especially when i got to the Aviemore to Elgin road. Can't believe how well it handles, it seems to be rock solid. Whether or not this is because i'm used to driving a Mondeo estate that lists more than the QE2?!?!

Anyway, apart from the ride being a bit firmer than what i'm used to, i'm really happy with my buy. Got lots to read up on, and this forum seems full of good gen!
