Toomas Heikkenen Crash @ Summer X Games.

Featured Replies

It was obvious from the elevation he was not going to make it,( the one in the background is much steeper ) you would have thought they would have scaled down to work that out, they are trying to emulate toy cars, (Hot wheels) and either that or wrong balance in the car. Hope he is ok though :whew:

LOL,

You can probably expect a call soon,

They need you out there as a technical advisor & ramp builder,

because they obviously are using muppets without a clue that should have gone to Specsavers'

Either the speed was wrong or the elevation, fact, or he would have made it, I have done jumps on moto- cross bikes, and I would have had serious reservations

Someone got their maths wrong

Or the maths was right,

and as pointed out in the second well educated observation, 'he' did not get to the 'speed' required to make the gap.

george

Definately wrong elevation, he would have still gone into the opposite side regardless of speed, Maths way out ! Agree though the weight distribution may have been off, talking about putting your life in someone else's hands! Also on sound track wheel spin just before flight?

No the maths was wrong, whether physical or theoretical, good maths does not leave dents !

Maths would not have been pushing his foot on the throttle after all the Computer simulations and engineers drawings etc were done,

it was not a set of Pallets and some plywood.

Have you ever jumped push bikes or anything, skate park or dirt track.?

One kid can clear the double and another does not get over the hump,

same bikes, different speed.

No idea if anyone else jumped that jump before him, or if he was the first in practice, but i doubt they used the 21 year old rally star to try it out!, (looked for clips of it, to see if it had been done.)

but i see that it was changed to a table top after that accident.

Is pressure not maths any more ?

Only Motocross and Supercross, bit of mountainbiking

My point is, if it was driver error, it generally from going too fast (as we all do) not too slow, therefore it was mechanical error (what I like to call MATHS) or and engineering error (what's the word for that again ,,,,,,Oh yeah MATHS) or a trajectory misjudgement .....no im stuck on what that might come under

Ouch.

PS. I'm not going to mention the M word... :giggle:
