Featured Replies

Hi guys i had a 'cheap' induction k&n style air filter off a saxo yea i know but it fitted and i quite liked stainless pipe was the right size etc etc.

So now after pay day and wee bit of spare cash i started looking about for an air filter, i ofcousre liked the forge and itg filter ideas but come on their prices are steep, so looked at a brilliant filter company Ramair and wanted the enclosed style so after a good few hours searching i found this:

Then got down to fitting it i did the best i could with what i had, because the neck of the throttle body it close to pipe you cant fit it stright on and needed to fit the breather pipe some how. So ended up cutting the stainless pipe that i has before it made it possible to fit the airfilter on to the throttle body and also attch the breather pipe, so here's a few images:

i am waiting on the cold air feed to come then it should all be complete, and hoping i can find a better way to attach the filter to the throttle body, might try and get hold of the silicon pipe with breather filter attachment from the forge air filter.

Thanks guys for looking

Just get yourself a breather filter instead of putting it back into the intake system.

yea well i had done this on a previous car and it effected the idle will try this and see, is there many people doing this instead of connecting back to the intake??

Think I'm the only one. I have also removed all of the one way one way valves and pipework that comes from the other pipe by the oil filler cap so no oil of any description enters the intake system.
