vrs aftermarket exhausts

What options do we have here, so far i can only think of three -jetex,milltek and supersprint

With the jetex being the only reasonabley priced one with the full systems from the other 2 being over a grand

Can anyone think of any others?

Iv contactes a few companies and so far iv only heard back from scorpian who said they dont have anything so far but could develop something towards the end of the year

Power flow is another. Lots of choice of pipe size, tips, volume etc.

If you wonder how that system sounds like with software and TBE then here's a video ;).

JETEX = Simons Sportsystem from Sweden ;).

Sounds sweeet :D

Still waiting to hear back from remus and piper, with another still to ask :)

Waiting on a comany getting back to me regarding software but im not holding my breath on that

Can anyone else think of any other exhaust manafactures?

piper were going to use my car, but they were after someone with a stock turbo to develop from.

Any idea if they found another development car sy?

Bit of luck theyl use mine for it but itl be a bit of a struggle if they need it for a while :/

They needed it for at leats a week. no idea if they got one though

RJM & Sons at glenrothes do custom exhausts. I got my varex fitted by them and they could do a custom turbo back exhaust for you. They use powerflow tips and boxes, but you could have a straight through ;)

Week would probably be about my limit as i could just turn it into a wee holiday

Theres 2 places near me that do custom exhausts but im short on funds, plus a brand name one would be easier to sell on if need be

How much was the Varex, if you don't mind me asking? I'm up in Aberdeen, Glenrothes wouldn't be too bad a trek

250 or so once you factored shipping from New Zeland into it!

That's not too bad. That include getting it fitted and stuff?

I'm also just after a back box exhaust for my vrs. Power flow quoted £215.

How did u get on with Jetex and supersprint?

Noticed another funny thing : my car is on Jetex site ;).

Looks like piper could be a go :D:D

Ive just taken the middle silencer out and i think it sounds perfect... not loud when driving normally for inside the car but outside its got a little bit more of a grumble, oh and its a damn sight cheaper... mine only costing me £70

ill have a decat OEM downpipe for sale very shortly. If anyone is interested they would be able to collect it from APR HQ in Milton keynes very soon. I'm sure keith would even take you out for a spin if you want to know what a Stage 3 vRS with approx 270-280hp feels like.

Mines getting as larger bore decat downpipe fitted so i can maximise my other mods, so no point in me keeping thjis current downpipe.

Its a standard downpipe, that was cut open to remove the standard catalytic converter, then welded shut again. Looks completely stock from the outside. All the stage 2 gains with none of the noise or expense!!!

That's a bad solution if you care anything for the enviroment...

But if your cheap, you can do it that way :).

And it does increase in noise when you remove the cat...

Skickat från min HTC One X via Tapatalk 2

I did an emission test with my decat and it still passed lol.

The noise marginally increased, if at all. The decat IMO maybe changed the exhaust note and made it raspier in nature, but i wouldnt say it got much louder at all. You can barely tell the difference between mine and a stock car.

The ITG intake made a much bigger difference to the engine noise and is way more notable than the the exhaust.
