Drivers side window STUCK

Featured Replies

Hi just a quick question, my drivers side window has kindly managed to become stuck in the downwards position i am wondering if anybody hs any tips on what it may be I have tried the following:

put the key in the door lock and turned the key into the lock position any window that i left opened closed appart from the drivers window.

I have taken the side panel of the door and can hear the motor engaging when I press switch for the window to go down but nothing when doing it to go up?

i have checked to make sure none of the cables are broke and that the window run cables are ok

Is there any where I can test the motor by itself without any of the cables i.e. simply powering the motor.

Thanks for any advice

Solved the problem looks like its the main controller on the driver side had to strip down and hook up a battery to the motor to bring the window back up. if anybody knows part number and if I can simply buy the controller by itself without the regulator I will be grateful for the number.

Thanks

Thomas
