I'm not going to let my son have my iPad for his summer holidays but I have a DS Lite for him. I'm going to put some music and short videos on it but I was wondering what sort of games would be simple enough for my little boy to play. Educational (counting/letters) would be good too.

Anyone had such a small child using one?

Should have said I have an M£ lite card thing in it. A DGP converter woulf be good too. Handbrake hasn't got the preset and the other I've downloaded doesn't either

You probably want something as simple as run sideways and jump games to start with. Things like sonic games or something would be a good start. Can't get much more simple than 2d scrolling platformers!

There's a Peppa Pig game that I'm told is simple enough so I'm trying to get my hands on it.

Mario cart !!, don't know if Tetris might be a bit much for a 4yr old. Have a look in Game or Blockbuster for the pre owned games.

My little girl (now 6) has had a DS for a couple of years and there seem to be plenty of games out there designed for young children that they can pick up and play. We have the Peppa Pig game and that was a big success and very easy to pick up and there are also games that we found for girls like "I Did It Mum" and various baby-themed games that we found on Amazon - I'm sure there are equivalent for boys. She discovered Mario last year and has been mainly focussed on Mario Land and Mario Kart since then

Other than that she started out with ( had it over a year ) Mario Kart, The Simpsons, Donkey Kong etc She also loves all those animal training ones.

The card already had some games on it. I just tried dropping a few more in the the top level directory.

I can't remember what the format of the music was, it must have been wma not mp3 on the pc which I guess is the problem.

Google "linfoxdomain". Its a good site for all things Nintendo. All cards are different so have different ways of adding media.
