dribbly oil cap

Featured Replies

I have a mk1 fabia vrs. I have noticed that it leaks a little oil from the filler cap. I have heard that this can be down to a blocked pcv. I haven't a clue where this is on the diesel engine, can anyone help :-)

Thanks

Keith

Not known blocked crankcase breathers on these before. With the plastic engine cover off to the left of the filler cap there is a short hose on rocker cover that bends into the inlet manifold. That is the crankcase breather hose. Most people on here have modified this so that the crankcase is breathing to the atmosphere and not via inlet manifold. The manifold is plugged and a new longer hose is trailed down the back of engine.

I would imagine replacing the filler cap would be a better option first. I had a weep on mine but it was coming from the filler neck instead. That's available from Skoda and costs £9.98. Mine doesn't leak anymore.
