Thanks, but it's the same as the link above :giggle:

The link I'm looking for was showing the Audi bits on a Yeti floorpan :wonder:

Wouldn't it be better to look on an Audi Forum?

Not really, see my post # 6..

The link was about adding Audi plastic inserts into the Yeti floorpan :smirk: , so it probably was in the Yeti section.

Do not jack Yeti up using the floorpan, just asking for trouble, you won't cause any damage using the proper points, and putting something on the end of your trolley/hydraulic/scissor jack.

Really?

I know all the alledged arguments, and I have used the OEM scissor jack on the sill at the marked locations.

The floor pan would be unsuitable of course, but I'm not talking about the floorpan.

Never mind, I'll keep trawling until I can find the link.

Thanks for your help.

I use the puck with a groove

It is more likely to be in the Octavia 11 section.

Thanks, found the link - bits will be on order soon.

Just for information, the OEM scissor jack actually takes the weight on the horizontal "floor" section, not the vertical section of the sill welded joint. The channel shaped section on the jack only locates the head of the jack firmly in location, the weight is taken by a horizontal section of the jack head, bearing on the "floor" immediately behind the welded vertical lip.

The Audi type jacking inserts are pushed into structures which are substantially thicker metal to spread the load and based on suspension anchoring points.
