vRS First Service

Featured Replies

My vRS has now done 8600 miles and was planning on booking it in for its first 10k service in about 6 weeks time. Started the car up today to a message that a service is due in 700 miles.

Spoke to the dealer, who confirmed that it is fixed 1yr or UP TO 10,000 miles, despite being fixed service plan the car knows when it needs new oil. To date I've added about 2l of oil which i think is about 1/2 what the car holds? so a little surprised not to get a full 10,000 miles out of it as on thw whole isn't driven excessivly hard.

The dealer wants £139 for the service, sounds reasonable to me, I guess there are some dealers may do it for a few quid less, but I can't be doing with the hassle of shopping around, my dealer has been good so far so can have my business again.

The service indicator always comes on early... (I'm up to 33,000 miles now) just service it at 10k or 1 year.... £139 is ok.... although my 30k service just cost me £87.45... about the same as my 10k service... 20 k was about £150...

It's time or distance upto 10k it will vary depending on how the car is treated when it gets to zero it starts counting how many days overdue it is
