eonon stuff

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I was looking through old posts on here, and found link to this company. Went on their website and there is loads of cheap stuff. I looked at double din gps's and stereo's, but non of them said it would fit skoda? So maybe someone have tried their stuff and does any of double din gps's fit mk1 Octy? What is the size for mk1 anyways?

cheers.

Just installed one of these in my mk1 Fabia. The cage is VERY tight and feel the need to cut bits of the plastic to get it to fit exactly how I want it... Which I've not done yet, but at least it's in and no longer on my bedroom floor!

Not bad unit for your money, when all is said and done!

Is it gps?

Yeah.

As said, so far so good, although just driven into the centre for the first time and lost the signal (although I've literally plugged and played so should be able to adjust!)

I think all gps's loses signal at some point, especially in centre where there are tall buildings.

Just looked at sizes, most of them are smaller then one on mk1 Octavia, which get me thinking, is there a adopters of some sort that can 'make it fit'?

To be honet, I worked on the assumption that a double din fitted once I removed stereo and drawer thing below(!!) luckily it was ol!

The only way it doesn't it tight is the height, the width is just right once the metal cage is in.

I've bought a new surround as the one that came with it is carp, plus need to get the extra black plastic bit for above te stereo where there will be a gaps small gap left.

ok, thanks! So I should do a research before buying.

Well I spent literally months and months of research... For me it boiled down to what I got for my money.... Everything!

There is a trade off, the sound. Not gonna lie it's not perfect, but I have been playing everything via bluetooth from my iPhone, so probably down to the quality of the mp3 track you've downloaded... Cd's sounded ok.

There is also a real lack of room behind the head unit due to the sheer size of wiring look which came with it.... I'm still trying to tenor to sit flush as we speak!

How are these units so cheap?

Would a canbus upgrade be needed for a 2006 Octy?

Made in China and not a main brand product I guess!

I have no idea for the Octy mate but I had to buy a different ISO lead so I'm sure you'll be able to find one if you do.

First, as 'jars' said, made in china and it isn't Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony etc. Components that they are made of isn't as high quality as main branded units.
