Stereo upgrade

Hi,

I've read up on the forums about upgrading from a Stream to a Bolero stereo. I've got an Octavia Mk2 (Dec 2004).

I've got hold of a CAN gateway which is this model: 1K0 907 530Q

So in theory, when the Bolero arrives, I take out the Stream, replace the CAN Gateway behind the glovebox, slot in the Bolero, fire her up and input the code?

Am I missing anything here? Should this model CAN gateway avoid the battery drain I've heard about?
