After owning the octavia vrs 2.0tdi for just over 6 weeks and 2500miles now I have noticed that my exhaust tips have not had one spec of soot or oil based deposit. This goes to show how much my mk2 fabia vrs burnt oil, as from day 1 they very very quickly turned black from the what i presume would be the oil burning.

Just thought i would share my observation haha .

I guess the DPF keeps the tail pipes from getting sooty

Maybe so...makes cleaning much better
