VCDS how to add a function

Hello all,

I did ask this question before but I haven't sorted it out still, I own a OII pre Facelift, I know the newer versions have some extra options to configure in VCDS, like display oil temp on maxidot,

I know these options are under the 17-Instruments cluster, but is that module easy to change or does that mean changing half the dashboard including the present maxidot and gauges?

my car has a module with 23bytes and i know the "highline" ones have 30bytes to program.
