Hi, after needing to disconnect the battery I am now left with the following radio problem and wondered if anyone can help please:-

1) Ignition on

2) Radio on - displays SAFE then 1000

3) punched in correct code via buttons 1,2,3,4 then pressed arrows, radio does not work!

4)Displays SAFE again but with a tiny number 1 in bottom left corner

5) Left for 1 hour, ignition on & radio turned on after 1 hour the little number 1 dissapeared

6) tried whole process again, still didn't work SAFE came up with a little number 2 in bottom left corner

Have tried this process now loads of times and it seems to alternate between a small number 1 in bottom left corner or a small number 2 ??

7) Have checked the code with Skoda and it is the correct code.

Any ideas or help please anyone, could it be an ECU memory problem ?

did you hold the > button for around 2 seconds / press the >> button after entering code

yes I did and it just reverts back to the SAFE mode then 1000 with either a small 1 or a small 2 in the bottom left hand corner. I read in the manual that the internal computer in the car is supposed to remember the code so now I don't know if there is anything wrong with the main computer ?

you could try what is mentioned in that link, hopefully that may cure it
