citigo badges - new style skoda badges

Featured Replies

ok so ive not been able to find it in the fabia section, i know you can get the centre caps for the wheels in the new style but is anyone aware of if the new style badges seen on the citigo etc will fit the mk1 fabia?

Yes The Do Fit with a little Work. The back fits no problem but the front is about a cm bigger so i just cut the back down to get them of fit

part Numbers: Front 1ST853601AAUL Back: 1ST853630AAUL

how much did you have to cut down on the front? was it off the back?

I just cut the back at a 45 degree angle till it went flush

There's no pins like the normal badge?

There are pins but they are in the wrong place. No issue on the back of a MK1 Fabia as there is no indent in the tailgate for the badge to sit in like the MK2.

have taken the plunge and ordered, will no doubt not have to fit for a while though

there are pins but they easily snap off.

Hi

Cheers

Nicola

Cor!, is that a Blair and Gray (Kilmarnock) Ltd. label on the back number plate of your car? That's my neck of the woods, or rather, was, as they shut down several years ago. Far travelled if it is, just noticed that your in Dorking.

Did you used to live up here?

Nope, the first owner lived in Kilmarnock and then moved to leeds. then the second owner moved from sheffield to ewhurst which is down the road from me and were i brought the car. and the second owner had the shipped down cos i have the receipt for it lol. thats why its just done 70,000 miles. not a bad car lol payed £2,000 for it with a full skoda service history ect bargin lol

whats the diff between the two citigo badges?

ones flat the other is concave to match the curve of the grille

Sorry to drag up a slightly old thread - I've tried searching but can't quite find the answer I'm after.

I've recently bought a set of the Citigo badges. The back looks like it will go on fine (if a tiny bit bigger than the std size). On the front I currently have one of pastyboys badges that due to how I fitted it, pretty much fills the recess so it is fairly flush.

Now, I can't quite see how cutting the Citigo badge in any way will help it go in the recess, unless it is trimmed around the circumference which would be impossible to get it to look neat and tidy. It looks like it will go over the recess (and existing badge) but will sit a little proud. I'd like to know what exactly others have done/or cut, ideally with pics if possible.

Thanks in advance

Draging up an old thread here... but as Delroy says above, how have people trimmed the front grill badge? I've seen examples on this forum both recessed and not but I'd want to go recessed. Advice appreciated :)

I'd very much like to fit these badges to my SE but don't know how to trim them to fit into the recess, so if anyone can produce a guide it would be very handy.

Thanks in anticipation.

the wheel centres are cheaper at hobin skoda parts - every penny counts !!

I have these fitted to my Fabia vrs mk1 and did not need to trim anything off, apart from snapping the pins at the back ofcourse

They will both go straight on once the pins are snapped off but the front will overlap the recess on the grille, it looks great and doesnt make anything look out of place, just added a bit of extra double sided tape to the front badge

What did you use to stick the badges on?

What did you use to stick the badges on?

There is adhesive on the rear of them :)

The new badges, wheel centres look too much like the vauxhall griffin to me - they wont be going on mine !

Can we see a picture of the front badge, from the side instead of straight front view? I want to see how much the front badge stick out.
