4x4 Turbo Info

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have just joined the world of skodas and will have a few questions im sure,

I have just bought a 2001 Octavia Elegance 4x4 1.8T.

I noticed the rear tyres our 225/45/17 and fronts are 215/45/17.

should all for tyres be the same width with it having the 4x4 system??

Cheers Craig..

Technically it won't matter on your car, both sizes are ok but ideally you want to run one or the other.

Thanks for the quick reply, I will need 4 new tyres very soon so i will change and make them all the same size.

Cheers Craig...

Also, should've been 205/55/16 on the standard wheels... assuming it may have vRS Spiders on it..?

Spiders would have 205/50 17 as standard but most change as that's an odd size and more expensive normally than either of the other mentioned sizes.

Hi All,

The car has Audi TT 17" alloys as per below,

Cheers Craig..

Either or tyre size you have will be fine, personally I'd go with the 215.
