Emergency Services Rescue Data Cards

Featured Replies

An emergency services rescue data card for the Yeti detailing the location of the airbag and its control device, the battery, seat belt pre-tensioners , gas pressure damper, fuel and gas tanks and body reinforcements and stiffeners that can be printed off and stored behind a sun visor is published by Skoda Germany. Rescue data for other Skoda vehicle models is available from this link: http://www.skoda-aut...php?e=348-10-11

ADAC, the equivalent of our AA, even produce free windscreen stickers indicating that such rescue data is held onboard. Copies of both the data card and windscreen sticker are attached.

I think the idea has merit and a similar scheme could usefully by promoted here in the UK - what do you think?.

Over here the fire brigade have access to the latest data for every vehivle as shown above so it's possibly of lower worth being in our actual cars. Considering how much more complex and dangerous!) the job has become with modern cars/safety technology I think its essential information to have access too but again, I cant really see the merits of the onus being on the vehicle owner.
