Possible new octavia owner but would prefer something more superb.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, currently own a 13 year old Pug estate and am investigating cars with a very big boot (affordable that is)

Octavia is 5" less deep and the superb is the same (yes it is) but it seems no one makes boots that big anymore.

I am bewildered by the decisions I am faced with!

Did want diesel, now I still do - but as I expect to keep the car for years ,I am not prepared to spend 1k replacing the dpf every 80k miles or possibly even sooner.

I also do not want to waste diesel and my time going for a 20 min drive every now and again. So petrol it is. (or pre dpf diesel)

Was looking at the octavias but accidentally saw a superb, oh god i want one of those lol

I dont seem to be able to find real life petrol consumption figures on this site but then again I can't see a search box either, perhaps now I am registered I will?

I am also very surprised to find that cars 13 years newer than mine seem to offer nothing (of use) that my existing car does not have.

Was hoping to find a used one with a columbus but am readinmg about failures... it seems every decision i make gets changed soon after.

Anyway enough waffle....

there you go then petrol superb. welcome aboard
