unfortunately i am selling my vrs as i need a 4x4 for work. its an 03 plate with 70000 miles on it, a few mods but nothing major (remap, 007,panel filter, cat back, tinted lights, black grille, tt pedals, better speakers) magic black. got a couple little dents and scratches but nothing major. not much history but i do have receipts for cambelt, water pump, service, new brake discs and pads all round all in the last 3 months. not sure what to ask for it to be honest what are they fetching?

ive been offered a fiat grande punto 1.2 on an 07 plate, 62000 miles one owner from new. 12 months mot, 6 tax and 4 new tyres as a straight swap, i thought it might be easier to sell and possibly worth a little bit more too, what do you think??

yeah autotrader is great for finding out what people want for their car, but not so good for finding a true value. there are vrs's on there for £1000 right up to £3500. same with the puntos. i looked on ebay and the puntos do seem to be fetching a bit more to be fair so will probably do the swap if matey comes good.

I'd say no, as Punto's were plagued with electrical gremlins to do with the Power steering and the steering column. So I don't think it'd be any easier to sell!

Suppose it would be easier to sell, think scrap yards are crying out for them due to owners wanting bits, id hold out for 300quid lol :p

Sold our lass's y plate punto for a grand and could have sold it 10 times over, drove spot on and never missed a beat. She loved it plus there an ideal 1st car so if your price is right IMO it'll sell better than yours and for more money. Vrs's are cheap as chips these days and aren't worth much at all, In fact there worth more in bits.

punto are poor, why not swap for 4x4 octavia if you need 4x4 - otherwise you'll just lose money on a well built car

i need something that can go through mud, fields etc so octy 4x4 would be no good. probably end up with an x-trail or a forester or something. not going to bother with the punto as matey seems to be trying to swap it for anything thats for sale so probably ******. put mine up on autotrader yesterday for £2300 and had 2 people ring up already so will probably just try for a cash sale. fingers crossed
