Anyone running the H&R Cup kit with a 55mm/40mm drop?

Featured Replies

Anyone running the H&R Cup kit with a 55mm/40mm drop? Wondered what people thought of the drop/ride/etc? Very tempted by ordering this... Or FK highsport coil overs....

Hmm....

Just get coilovers rather than wasting the cash on springs, then looking at it and realising it's still too high.

Mmm would like uber lowness, and have had chassis scraping on a daily basis on some of my other rides. But this is (semi) sensible, as it's transporting my 6 month old twin boys around.... Hence the 1.9tdi and not a 2.0 tdi/2.0t. They love trips in the car, so am no worried about a harsher ride, they seem to like bumpiness in the pram anyway lol.

Running 18" zeniths on my estate, and would only prob go down as far as 65mm with a slight rake, to compensate for when I have a boot full of shopping/camping equipment/child paraphernalia....

Plus the misses will have to drive the car, and some campsites aren't the smoothest.

BTW, they 17"s in your sig? On air or coilies?

Any coil over recommendations for £500 or less?

Don't know what Eibach coils retail at, but I had them on my Fabia VRS and they were more comfortable than the standard set up even running a 45mm drop.

18s on air.

Can wholeheartedly recommend AP. Ride is excellent and you get a two year warranty.Took a set off my Octavia after 27 months of running low and they were in great shape. Same can't be said for the OEM top mounts though, which were wrecked.
