Lowering Springs

Featured Replies

I have the fl petrol model and I fitted eibach springs to mine. Doesn't make the ride too firm but makes the car feel more stable IMO, especially when changing direction through a series of 's' bends. Still fine for speed cushions etc and makes the car look loads better, The standard ride height looks wrong to me now.

Good value mod I'd say

Cheers

Brian

i did it, im happy with it, but i wish id saved the £200 for coilovers and just done that instead

I had the eibach pro springs with some fsd koni's. Not much of a drop to be honest, you'd only tell vs. a standard car if you parked them side by side or checked with a tape measure.

Despite this i would have stuck with them if it was not for the fsd's being, well, not as good as the hype - ended up removing them and fitting some weitec coilovers. In hindsight the fsd/eibach thing for me was just a waste of money - should have gone straight for some quality coilovers.

Not sure about that. I parked my Eibach vRS next to a standard pre FL vRS and FL vRS model in Birmingham city centre today and mine looked visibly lower (and better....)

Have you got the earlier konis, the mark 2s are the ones to have

That's exactly what I mean - you need to park next to a stock car to see that it's lower. In isolation an eibach car looks OE - it doesn't look "lowered".

I wanted mine to be lower but still look like it was standard, i.e. Not too low. I would say mine sits about the same height as a gti/r32.

Mine should end up like that..30mm lower

Shame Skoda cant do it from the factory!!

I guess its a case of.."If you want it lower..Buy a VW or an Audi!"

Which ones did you go for?

when i put the eibach (pro-kit) in, the front dropped 30mm, while the rear dropped 20mm.

i would've preffered the rear-end to have dropped the same level as the front-end.
