Just recently noticed once my car gets warm the fan seems to stay on till i stop the engine

I have a 57 plate petrol vrs

Has anyone else had this problem ? Thought it was maybe a dodgy switch ?

Isnt really causing me great concern as yet .

Does this seem to happen when you have your aircon on? Might be worth opening the bonnet and checking if both fans are running or just the one. I had to replace my aircon (smaller) fan last year as it had failed, but the failure meant that the larger radiator fan was running permanently when the engine was on.

I think I have also seen something on here to do with faulty switches that can cause the problem.

Happens in the hot weather as far as I know.

My CR170 odes the same when hot.

If they continually run fast, then you may have an aircon problem.

I had to replace a pressure switch on the a/c circuit earlier this year - thankfully is was not the compressor failure that some cars have suffered from.

Ok i would defo say both both fans and running fast !

Ok found out why seems i had been running the a/c permantly i though when nothing was selected this was normall but after reading your responses i went and put it on econ and hence both fans stopped.
