Faulty wing mirror - help needed

Featured Replies

The manual control for my passenger side wing mirror isnt responding correctly. Does anyone know how to take it apart and possibly replace the cabling to fix it up?

Anyone had the same problem? Help MUCH appreciated

I had it in my Roomster. Both of them went off. Well the mirror consist of the housing, which is the black plastic arm that is attached to the door. This part includes the metal wirirng. When metal wiring is off then 99.99% it is unable to fix it.

Then there is the mirror glass which is attached to housing via a clip on system (not clips that you can buy but a female - male system).

The last part is the top cover which in many cases follows the colour of the body. It is also attached to housing in a clip on system (same as previous)

You can find the hole mirror as an aftermarket part either primed or not. Also you can search at scrap yards to get the hole original mirror or search at e-bay.

Once you get your part then you have to remove the door's panel in order to replace your mirror. I am really sorry but I don't know how to remove this but I know that you have to remove door handle's cover, window's switches, some torx screws and many plastic pin clips that are extremely easy to break.

Dealer did the job in 30 mins tops, thankfully under warranty.

And now please let me place my question. Are Fabia's and Roomster's housing identical? My Roomster is the facelifted one.

So you need the first part only if you are going to use an original part.
