is the fabia vrs ariel screw thread longer than any other thread you can get on ariels? i got hold of the new polo ariel and the thread just wouldnt reach into the hole where the original ariel would screw into.

anyone got any ideas on how to get round this? i dont want to get a shark fin ariel, just a shorter one than the one that is standard.

Your lucky, I can;t even get my standard aerial off. I unscrew it all the way then its just like stuck :S

so was mine - just give it a yank (i know you wont like it) but it does come out.
