skoda warranty/servicing

Featured Replies

if i change my air filter on my fabia , would it void my warranty or my free three years servicing?

In a word no.

Change to an OEM filter or change to an after market K+N type??

Sorry, but do you mean you replaced your vehicles air filter with a new replacement filter, or a performance one like a Pipercross panel or similar.

or you have done away with the standard Airbox & fitted a Cone Filter or and Induction system, or something like that?

I have a revo replacement and I change back to standard for service time.

Others will give a better and more positive answer than me.

Me,

i cant see the point of buying a small economic or cheap to insure diesel then changing the filter to make more noise and probably use more fuel.

Just me tho, boring!

He doesn't have a diesel

Hahhaaa haaaa...Hilarious

Kermit82 does not i spotted that.

the question came from a poster with a 2012 Monte Carlo .

and i can see now its a 1.2 tsi. (in the light grey writing)

so sorry not a diesel.

Same answer tho, cant see the point of buying a small economical petrol or cheap to insure

keep the filter you took out then change back before service/warranty

No it does not void warranty, I have the 1.4 tsi Fabia vrs with a pipercross panel filter within the standard airbox, with a custom intake which had been fitted from day one of purchase.

I had an engine replacement at 7k, I serviced the car myself, being a mechanic, on 10k using genuine filters and oil, while the car was on the ramp i fitted Skoda approved eibach lowering springs, now the car is on 13.5k and the gearbox is in for replacement all free of charge by the 3 year warranty.

hope this helps :)

Sounds like you've not had the best luck mate. What dealer do you use in the Manchester area?
