i need help with turbo timer

Hi, I have a Skoda Octavia VRS 2002, former owner put the turbo timer in the car.

It is light on it and turns on the screen but when I turn off the engine it dies and he begins to count down. Isint the motor supposed to run when I turn the key back?

this might be connected wrong?

They are extremely hard to fit on a octy due to the immobilizer. Better off driving off boost for the last mile.
