Looking to sell Monte Carlo.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right section to do this but thought I'd post here first. I'm looking to sell on my 61 plate Monte Carlo due to the fact we are expecting our first child. I'd rather sell the car on before the onset of a child as I know we will need something bigger and I want to sell it in mint (Pre child) condition. I've absolutely loved owning it and can honestly say its the best car I've owned. The spec is as follows.

2011 - 61 plate In white with grey interior.

105bhp 1.6CR diesel.

2900 miles.

Full electric windows.

Reverse parking sensors.

Cruise control.

Space saver spare wheel.

Fitted mats.

Autoglym Lifeshine.

As stated the car is absolutely immaculate. The wheels are unmarked, there are no carpark dinks and the interior is spotless. Barring buying a new car you wouldn't get better. The reason the mileage is so low is that we had an Audi TT Tdi until May this year so have used it very little until now. There is finance on the car and it will be paid off, this would be a condition of sale. It's got three years servicing in the sale particulars and I believe this will be transferred with the car. It's due a service in September, the tax is due in August but is an unbelievable £20 a year so it's not an issue to get both done before the car is sold if needed. There are 2 years and 1 month left on the Skoda warranty.

I've approached dealers to see if they are interested to buy it back but no one seems to answer emails. I've been offered a reasonable price trade in against a Quasquai and am considering it. I'd rather sell it on privately to someone though as the dealers will just whack £1500 on the price tag and sell it on. This is the top of the range diesel and returns easily returns 50+ mpg.

I'm looking for £10,995 or very near offer which makes it a steal!

Cheers,

Matt

That should have been "Thanks", bloody iPad!

Good luck in trying to sell the car.

To me, the Fabia is the perfect car for a young family and changing now will only cost you money - money which is better needed on cotbeds/travel systems/baby clothes etc etc...

We are a family of five with a St Bernard dog and have survived with a Polo for 8 years, granted all 5 plus dog are not in the car that often, but it does happen!

Some new parents get over excited that they need a HUGE new car, they soon realise they don't!

You will find that the cashcow wont be that much bigger than the Fabia.

All the best for the coming baby.

Cheers.
