Vaccum Box - Different for the AT?

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 Octy (1.9 PD 105) with the DSG box. Apparently the vacuum box on the car is shot. A friend has a spare one lying with him but that is from a 2006 manual Octy. Are the vacuum boxes on the two transmissions different? If yes then does somebody have the part number for the AT vacuum box. I found the following on the bay but not too sure if this will fit:

Any thoughts?

If you mean the N75/N18 block then no there should be no difference between manual and DSG

How much are these from a dealer?

Thanks. I do not quite know the technical name but guess the N75 valve is housed in this box. This is the black box on the top right of the engine bay (on the passenger side) and has vacuum pipes coming out of it - to control the EGR and turbo.

Dunno about UK but here in India the dealer is quoting 135 pound sterling.
