polo wiper conversion

Featured Replies

It's worth mentioning that the wiped area is smaller with the polo wiper.

The OE Skoda one clears the bit of screen over the 3rd brake light too.

Not worth noting I reckon?

There is a difference, but it doesn't really make a difference.

Yeah it's worth noting. When I said I'd taken my rear wiper off completely loads of people got upset I was doing something so dangerous reducing my rear view vision which is so important in a supermini.

I'm not saying everyone is like that but worth mentioning to people considering it on a car like the fabia which has a notoriously dirty rear.

Why not just keep your car clean :)

You only notice when you compare them side by side. It's a matter of centimetres.

Ask any woman if that makes a difference ;)

Personally, I didn't mind a smaller wipe so I did the mod to both

of my Fabias. I did change back to OEM ready for the sale of the car though.

I do, but after a couple of days in wet/dry conditions or a long run it soon gets dirty again. Sadly it's not possible to stop the car from getting dirty.

My rear screen is heavily waxed, so water doesn't stay on for long. Plus if it gets too bad I carry one of these in the spare wheel well to give a quick wipe. :)

One day I might grow up, refit a working wiper motor, and get the polo arm & blade. One day.....

Tbf if you don't have a rear wiper it's only like driving a 3 series then or one of many cars in the past which they were an option
