Only noticed this yesterday. Got home from work, pulled up and had the windows down. Could hear what sounds like a nut being shook about in a tin can.

Pressed the clutch and the noise went away, lift up and the noise is back again. Started up this morning the sound wasnt there.

Thrust shaft bearing maybe? Had the same sort of sound on my Rover Turbo but not as loud.

Clutch thrust bearing, all that will happen is it will rattle on idle, not worth changing unless the clutch needs changing
