rear window wash

Featured Replies

my rear window wash is not working i have looked at the hoses in the engine bay but all seems good anyone else have the problem

Check behind the cd changer on the passenger side of the boot if you haven't got one. They sometimes disconnect there and cause all sorts of electrical problems

iv'e checked in the boot and pulled the cover off the inside of the boot lid and still no luck i have but pushing the window wiper stalk the noise is of it coming out is there but i cant find where the hose has came off

Is the pump actually operating? If so check the nozzle on the wiper- you may have a blockage. Flip open the cover on the wiper spindle and disconnect the hose, then try the wash again. If the fluid comes out, fit a new hose and nozzle (comes as one assembly from Skoda dealers or ebay (not above £5)).

Take off the washer pipe and see if its coming out

oddly enough i've literally just finished changing my rear wiper motor. on the rear wiper arm itself there is a tiny plastic clip on box which contains the washer outlets. using a small flat head screw driver just prise open the plastic to release it from the wiper arm. once off of the arm disconnect the hose. put the hose out to the side and then push the stalk back, like the guys have said if you get water then the motors are fine and there are no blockages in the pipe work itself. if this is the case take the little plastic box you've removed and give it a wash. you can easily blow through the pipe connector with it removed but if its really fouled up just push a sewing needle through the eyelets. like i said i have literally just done this and mine now works a treat with plenty washer fluid.

found the problem it was the hose at the wiper its self, had came off. probably because the boot is opening and closing all the time cause its a taxi's thats what the mechanic said

I got a thin sewing needle and prodded the washer jet holes on the wiper set up and were seriously blocked but all good now

Wish mine was so easy to sort, operate pump at front i get soaked yet i have no water to the joint in boot but if i put airline on pipe in boot i can blow bubbles into washer bottle,

Anybody know where the pipe runs as it disappears near water bottle and reappears in boot, am guessing it runs inside wiring harness all way down car
