kw coilovers are they any good?

Featured Replies

hi all im about to get my kw coilovers fitted on wednesday and im wondering now whether ive made the right decision or not? i was going for weitec but psi tuning where i have all my stuff done could do me kw kit cheaper?? so what i want to know is there any one with the kw basic kit fitted to their car on here and whats the ride like as im worried that its going to be bouncy everywhere and being used as a family car i dont want that???

they are one of the better manufacturers.

my friend has the v1's on his mk4 golf and along with kw arb's its like a go-kart yet still fair on the bumpy stuff.

they are lot stiffer than the oem setup though so you will definitely feel the bumps more but it wont bounce unless you wind them right down.

if i had the money for v1's i would buy them.

I`d say they are above the Weitec setup so getting them for less sounds like a real billy bargain. Got V1`s on my Fabia, lovely setup, only bettered by my mates V2`s.

I had V1's on my last car (Audi TT MK2) and even though it improved the way it sat and performance slightly, as mentioned by pastie i felt alot more of the road when going over bumps etc.......

thanks for the replies guys its actually gone in today dont know why i thought it was wednesday lol will post some pics up later

I've got coilovers on my family car - no problems here (weitecs). Yes it's a little firmer than stock but by no means a bone shaker - rides better than swmbo's mini cooper on it's oe runflats and miles more comfortable than my other car (now sold) a 2011 WRX STI.

Doesnt sound good, take it back.

sounds like the tyre is hitting the coilover, spacers can fix this issue
