HIDs for My Fab MK1

would these fit on a fabia vrs without getting bulb errors?

worth a punt at £27.99 surely?

They should do, dependant on your car. Some fabias have a bulb blown warning on the dash, and others dont. But this warning is only for major bulbs, off the top of my head; dipped beams and brake lights. My H3 high beams didnt set off the warning on my car, but the dipped bulbs did.

Simple way to see if you need one of those canbus kits is to pop the bonnet, unplug a dipped beam connector and switch on the lights (Y)

I'll get one up later when im home from work,

and scotty its not fact they dont pass the mot is just they dont seem to be very good for use! as in the road isn't lit up very well. (my experience anyways)

I am looking forward to this, as I have a spare HID kit at home with H3 bulbs, but the warm up time on the high beam ****ed me off tbh. Just about to get to a brightness that they were useful, and then a car appears :(

So if this photo shows a good cut off, £12.50 will be spent on some new H7R bulbs :)

mine defo does come up with the bulb light, so that's +£30 on top of the price lol

Mine are HID Direct ones, 6000K with no warning bulbs on the dash, easy to fit 10 min job and standard head lights

I can see the road fine!!! 100% better than normal bulbs. Just passed MOT

£50 for a canbus HID kit (Y)

I had the H3, and they failed after a month due to the on off nature of high beams. I then asked for a replacement, they said send them back. I had some "moving house" issues at the time and sent them back about 2 months after first contacting them and within 5 days I had my HID kit back with a replacement balast! So top service :)

Is a good quality kit aswell, comes with mounting brackets, sticky pads and all other bits and bobs needed

I'm running those ballasts in my 3 series and they don't give off any 'bulb out' errors. The sidelight bulb does sometimes though (lose connection), so the system is working properly.

Normal H7

Don't suppose you have a pic of the cut off against a wall or something?

Oh and Lee, I've PM'd you back from earlier.

Cheers

No got no pic against the wall, I would only buy from HID Direct, the service is great and its good quality, plus later down the line if you need any spares if you are out of the 2yr warrenty they sell all the spares you would need for your kit.

they are local-ish to me, i might pop into see what they recommend :)

Well if there customer service is as good as I have experienced they should provide you with the £50 canbus kit we all have. But if not they will probably go for a more expensive "wideview" (i think its called) which I think is way over the £100 mark

Yeah pictures of these would be good. Against the wall as the previous ones were please! Will be a good comparison

Ahh like lamin-x ;)

A wild geuss at 4300k? Nice cut off aswell, think I may upload a pic of my halogen cut off for comparison :p

Hmmm looks like I can't on my iPhone :/ I've got a few good ones, one of halogen dipped, with HID mains up against some doors. And two others on the road showing halogen dipped beam and then the HID main beam.

Does anybody know how to upload pics from the "photos" section on an iPhone? Would be greatly appreciated :D
