Uprated internals?

What ever happended to the cupra guy that popped his engine and was rebuilding it....anyome know?

Will there be much of a gain using uprated internals? Or is it more of a safty thing to make sure it runs safly with more boost etc.......

It will allow you to run higher boost safer. Also they will probably be lighter weight as they're made from better material thus allowing the engine to pick up revs quicker. This is particularly noticeable with light weight cams.

Not to my knowledge. I've spoken with a fair amount of cam specialists and the reason not is people just remap Turbo cars for good gains. Main market for cams are n/a cars like civics.

Thats what i thought as well, until i spoke to them about it. You supply them with a rod and a piston, and they will produce a set of them from the dimensions of the parts you gave. Thats not what i would call a developed product

cams ruin tickover at idle. As said above its normally NA engine territory and it normally drastically changes the power band. Theres many better ways to make power on a forced induction engine.

If i go for uprated internals ill probably run a lower compression i think

That does seem pretty pointless. May aswell stick with OEM and save the pennies towards proper developed parts.
