Another brain dump to try and get our head round the options.

Unusual to find an octavia that has been specced up with electric seats.

and this one is a 1.6 elegance <50miles aways so potential worth a look.

but will the 1.6fsi be a potential time bomb.

Economy is OK over the other varients(say 1.9pd) at same age/mileage the price(£1k+) difference pays for the fuel or a few years.

Performance is fine for our use no auto/DSG which is on the wish list and may be more important the electric.

There are reports of valve issues but how widespread/risky are they on late 2008 cars?

I am thinking that if the 1.6 is a risk too far a 1.9pd with fresh cam belt done should give 4 years before the next big bill.

Now on one of these with DSG am I looking at other issues.

we started with L&K DSG as a target since they have all the main options as standard but they are rare and pricy or higher mileages, so Elegance is a comprimise.

Now it is priority on the optrions I think the order is DSG, Electric seats* , MFSW maxi, leather, heat

* we are very different sizes and share the car so having memory seats/mirrors is a very good option for us.

It's an ok engine. Don't think you'll get either decent performance or decent economy out of it, though.
