Hey, my exhaust is looking old and tired so i plan on buying a piper catback full system in a couple of weeks and was wondering, if i cut the old exhaust up and scrap it all how much do you think id get? Id scrap the catalyic converter seperately ofcourse..

So what im asking is how much would the cat scrap for and how much would the rest scrap for?

To give you an idea, last year I scrapped the following at T-Met for £63.

12 springs

10 brake discs { 2x312mm 2x288mm 2x280mm 4 rear fabia/ibiza ones

rocker cover from an APQ 1.4 8v

some old broken tools

a bit of a metal bed frame

Clio 182 cat.

Old exhaust from 182 in bits.

TBH £35 of it was the cat...

So I cant see you getting too much from your exhaust i'm afraid.

Ah right no bother, just i heard someone say that the cats are quite expensive thanks anyways.

weigh your exhaust, phone the scrappy and ask for his steel price per kilo ...multiply the 2 and BINGO you have your price

Cut your catalytic convertor out though

The cat will certainly get you some beer tokens. the rest not so much.

Possibly, as long as it works fine, i bought a downpipe with cat for 50quid, most ul get from a scrappies is 30-35
